Suggested matters have a real Use button.
The suggestion bar's faint "Use" label read as a status line, so a suggested matter was easy to mistake for the one already chosen. It is now a proper button, and the bar says "Not applied — click Use to switch" until you do.
The destination bar always shows the matter's name.
Choosing a matter's Correspondence folder through the folder dialog left the bar and the Save button reading a bare "Correspondence". Maildrop now recognises that folder as its matter, so the bar shows the matter name, the Save button names it, and the matter appears once in Recents. A folder that isn't a matter shows the folder it lives in, and hovering the bar shows the full path.
